After finishing my PhD in technical Computer Science with distinction, I decided to quit academia and enter the business world. Having a broad variety of experience in UX/Usability, Requirements Engineering and Project Management I now work as Head of Requirements Engineering at msg Plaut. As a manager I strive to provide the best solutions for our customers and build products for humans. Topics that I find important are Value Based Requirements Engineering, Accessibility and Inclusive Design.

How did I end up in Requirements Engineering and why is Requirements Engineering important? In this short Talk I was honored to present my personal career and why it is important for young women to have role models in ICT.

Data driven economy is becoming more and more important, since data is one of the most important assets in modern digital economy. For Mondayblog on digitalcity.wien I wrote an article about the 5D model developed by msg Group and how we can support our customers in developing their custom tailored data driven business case.

UNIVIE Teaching Award 2016 for our introductory course in HCI

Our introductory course on “Human Computer Interaction and Psychology” just won the Teaching Award of the University of Vienna 2016! By “us” in that case I mean the “HCI-Team”, as referenced in the news message: Dr. Michael Sedlmair, Prof. Dr. Renate Motschnig, Prof. Dr. Torsten Möller, and of course me. Honorable Mention for our Case Study paper @CHI16

Our case study paper “The Salome Experience: Opera Live Streaming and Beyond” just got a Honorable Mention at this year’s ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems! In our paper we presented the prototypical realization of innovative communication technology installations to close the gap between stage and audience in live opera streaming. Our case study took place in the framework of a dedicated live streaming transmission of the opera “Salome” by Richard Strauss during a symposium celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Internet in Austria.
